March is Women’s History Month, and we’re celebrating with this new work from Chicago- and LA-based photographer Martine Séverin. Martine dreamt up and produced this shoot with the idea of celebrating diversity and collaboration among women in the workplace—an alternative to the images of Caucasian men we see so often in stock.
In her life and her work, Martine is forever interested in stories of women building each other up. For this shoot, she created that kind of positive “yes, and” spirit, with fun improv games that helped the real-people models loosen up and get to know and support each other.
What I especially love about these images is that they feel real yet professional, with a feeling of human kindness that makes all of Martine’s work so special.
